Arthur C. Brooks, Ph.D., is the Parker Gilbert Montgomery Professor of the Practice of Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School and Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School. A former president of the American Enterprise Institute (2009–2019), Brooks is a leading scholar on the science of happiness and its intersection with public policy, faith, and human flourishing. He is a New York Times bestselling author whose books include Build the Life You Want (co-authored with Oprah Winfrey) and From Strength to Strength. A Catholic convert and former professional French horn player, Brooks writes a popular happiness column for The Atlantic and lectures internationally on evidence-based approaches to building hope and well-being.
