William Nordling, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist specializing in Catholic approaches to marriage counseling and couples therapy. His teaching integrates Thomistic philosophy, Catholic spirituality, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to address mental health challenges within a framework of faith and grace. Dr. Nordling has trained clinicians and pastoral ministers in identifying types of marital distress, understanding the behavioral, cognitive, and physiological mechanisms underlying couple conflict, and implementing practical therapeutic principles to help distressed couples restore hope and engagement. He is a faculty member at the Institute for Psychological Sciences (now Divine Mercy University).
